Accountability Feature Notice
1. Scope
Accountability features are optional tools that may allow an account owner to configure rules affecting specific apps, websites, domains, or related actions, including delay-based or partner-based accountability settings.
2. User Control
These features are user-initiated. The account owner decides whether to enable them, what items or actions to protect, whether to invite an accountability partner, and whether partner-facing visibility should remain in the safer generic mode or switch to exact-item visibility where supported.
3. Partner Visibility
If an accountability partner is invited and accepts the invitation, the safer default display mode should, where supported, show the partner a more generic message rather than the exact protected item.
If the account owner affirmatively selects a more detailed visibility mode, the feature may allow the partner to see:
- exact protected app names;
- exact domain or website names;
- event or rule information; and
- other feature-related details necessary to provide the selected accountability setting.
4. Consent and Disclosure
Accountability features must not be used for covert monitoring. Clear in-product disclosure and acceptance should occur before partner visibility or accountability event sharing begins.
By enabling these features, the account owner instructs SafePhone to process, display, and disclose the configured accountability information as needed to provide the feature.
SafePhone may also process and retain related configuration, relationship, and event data as described in the Privacy Policy and other applicable in-product disclosures.
5. Revocation
The account owner may remove the accountability partner or disable the feature using the tools we make available, subject to technical limitations, account-security requirements, and any processing already necessary to complete pending feature actions or maintain appropriate records.
6. Not Medical or Therapeutic Services
Accountability features are not medical care, therapy, counseling, crisis services, or addiction treatment, and do not guarantee any behavioral result.
7. Lawful Use Required
Users remain responsible for lawful use, required authority, and any required notice or consent. Accountability features may be used only in accordance with applicable law, these feature terms, and the SafePhone Terms of Service.
