Personally Owned Device Disclosure
Important Information Before Enrollment
SafePhone may make available a managed enrollment model for eligible personally owned Android devices where supported by the device, the enrollment method, the Service configuration, and applicable platform policies. Before enrolling a personally owned device, please read the following carefully.
1. You Keep Ownership of Your Device
If the device is your personally owned device, you remain the sole owner of the device before, during, and after using SafePhone.
SafePhone provides tools that allow you to configure and manage supported restrictions, profiles, accountability features, and related Service settings. SafePhone does not take ownership of your device and does not become a co-owner, title holder, or custodian of the device.
2. Enrollment May Change Device Behavior
Enrollment and subsequent configuration may change:
- device settings;
- administrative controls;
- restrictions on certain apps, websites, domains, or device functions;
- accountability behavior;
- access timing or delay behavior; and
- other supported Service-related device-management features.
Feature availability and behavior may vary depending on device compatibility, Android version, manufacturer implementation, connectivity, account state, subscription tier, and applicable platform or technical limitations.
3. Backup and Preparation Are Your Responsibility
Before enrollment, configuration changes, unenrollment, resets, or major account changes, you should back up important data and review any setup guidance provided by SafePhone.
4. User-Initiated Controls
Profiles, restrictions, and accountability settings are user-initiated or initiated by an authorized administrator selected by the account owner. SafePhone does not apply restrictions for its own independent purpose outside providing the Service.
5. Subscription Expiry
If your subscription expires or is not renewed, SafePhone may suspend, disable, or limit paid Service features, support, updates, or managed configurations associated with the Service.
Subscription expiry does not by itself transfer ownership of your personally owned device, intentionally lock you out of the device, factory reset the device, or intentionally disable core personal-device functionality such as calling, texting, personal apps, or personal data.
Any change resulting from subscription expiry will be limited to SafePhone’s Service features and managed configurations only.
6. Voluntary Unenrollment
You may unenroll your device using the tools or instructions we provide, subject to security and technical requirements.
Unenrollment may remove SafePhone management, managed settings, restrictions, accountability configurations, or related Service functionality. For personally owned devices, unenrollment is not intended to transfer ownership of the device or intentionally erase personal data outside the SafePhone-managed scope, except to the extent a particular enrollment method or platform behavior inherently requires removal of managed configurations or related managed data.
